Carol Harmon was born in Canton where she lived until the 4th grade. Carol is a graduate of Pekin Community High School and attended Illinois Central College and Bradley University with an emphasis in music accompaniment. Carol married her husband, John, in 1977 and they have one daughter, Amy. Carol fills many positions within the church as outlined below:

Office Coordinator. Carol began working in the church office in 2001. As the office coordinator Carol is responsible for all the traditional secretarial and publishing duties related to the efficient and effective functioning of the church office. Carol is responsible each week for the production of bulletins for use in each of our two major worship services. Carol also produces bulletins for special services that may be scheduled. Carol produces a biweekly church newsletter consisting of four to eight pages of printed material and sent to every member of the congregation. Carol is responsible for maintaining all of the church membership records. Carol is also the bookkeeper for the church. As such, Carol is responsible for all of the financial records of the church. Carol works closely with the finance committee in maintaining the church budget.

Organist. Carol began as the church organist in 1996. As the church organist Carol is responsible for providing the principal instrumental accompaniment for each of the two worship services as well as the accompaniment for the chancel choir.

Children Choir Director. Carol is responsible for leading a musical program for children in the elementary grades. Carol has two musical groups. God’s Kids, an choral group, are children ages K through 4th grade, and New Faith, a hand bell choir, are children ages 5th through 8th grade.
